Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Maimara Hotel and were truly touched by the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and warm throughout our visit. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage until very late, which made our travel plans much easier. What impressed us the most was their generosity when our Uber order was canceled because of our luggage. Even though it was raining, the hotel staff went out of their way to personally drive us to the Movil Bus station. This level of care and responsibility is rare and deeply appreciated. I also really loved the fireplace on the first floor. Sitting by the burning fire made me feel so warm and comfortable, especially after a long day. It created such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Summary: Highly recommended not just for the beautiful hotel, but especially for the amazing people who work there.

Positive: Staff went above and beyond, let us have breakfast the day we first arrived as we got there super early and let us shower when we finished our trek even though we hadn't booked another night. Hotel is lovely and has amazing views from top floor breakfast bar and a delicious breakfast.

Negative: Hotel is a 20ish min walk from town but means it's super quiet. Only 3 soles into town.

Positive: Rooms are beautiful and clean. The beds are extremely comfortable. Jamie is very friendly and helpful with arranging local transportation. The location is a short walk from the center or an easy taxi ride. The neighborhood is much quieter than more central locations and only a few blocks from Cruz del Sur bus station

Positive: Staff was so kind and welcoming. They really went an extra mile for us, bringing us to bus stops or making fresh herbal tea when I fell ill. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, reminded us of Switzerland or Austria. Breakfast was great with fresh products everyday and a stunning view on the mountains. Beds were very comfortable and our room also had a beautiful view.
